Admission of an adult member resolution

Admission of an adult member resolution

Product type:    Standard template | no legal review or advice

Price:  $88.00

Use this template resolution to admit an adult member to the Superannation fund.   It is suitable for both individual and corporate trustees.

You will need to confirm that the fund (“the Fund”) currently has less than 6 members (this is the maximum permitted number of members).  If the Fund already has 6 members, the applicant cannot be admitted as a member.

Important Note:   For a corporate trust deed, if not already appointed, the Applicant should be appointed as a trustee/director of the corporate trustee of the Fund.   This appointment must occur before or at the same time as the admission of the member.  If the appointment is made after the admission of the member, the Fund may not satisfy the definition of “self managed superannuation fund”. This can be done by completing the SUPERCentral “Appointment of Trustee/Director to a self managed superannuation fund” template document.

In the case of individual trustees, many third parties (such as banks) require the appointment to be effected by a Deed of Appointment of Trustee.

For superannuation funds governed by non-SUPERCentral or non-Townsends Business & Corporate Lawyers governing rules, please review the applicable trust deed and governing rules to determine if the template is suitable for the Superannuation Fund.

Documents include:

  • Checklist
  • Application for admission; and
  • Written resolution of the trustee

© This document set provides a single use licence for the admission of one adult member - please submit a new set of instructions for an additional member.
