This document permits the variation of a reversionary pension by the replacement of the current reversionary beneficiary (“A”) with another (replacement) reversionary beneficiary (“B”)
Please note that only individuals who are dependants (within the meaning of the SIS Act) of the member receiving the pension can be nominated as the reversionary beneficiary.
It only applies to an account style pension; ie account-based pension or a transition to retirement pension.
Before varying the pension, determine (and if necessary, obtain expert advice) whether the variation will have any adverse Centrelink implications – such as changing the Income Test status of the pension.
This document set includes:
- Advice as to the steps required to vary a pension to replace the reversionary pension
- Replacement Reversionary Beneficiary Nomination Form; and
- Trustee resolutions
Please note: the online order form provides a completed set of populated and amending documents for one pension only. If you would like to make an order for a second pension of the member please submit another set of instructions.
