This document contains the checklist and resolutions for a member cashing out a portion of his or her interest in the superannuation fund with the intention of remaining a member of the SMSF.

As the Member is only cashing out a portion of their benefit, the Member must continue to participate in the management of the Superannuation Fund by remaining a trustee or a director of the corporate trustee.

The resolutions confirm the issue of a Superannuation Lump Sum Pre-Payment Statement (NAT 70764) and authorise the various actions required for the payment of the superannuation partial lump sum to the member.

The template should be modified as required – variable text is indicated in red.

This template is not appropriate for the situation where the payment is a death benefit or a terminal medical condition payment.
