Contribution acceptance resolution (non-concessional)
Personal contributions are superannuation contributions an individual makes to a super fund for themselves. Personal contributions are generally treated as non-concessional contributions and are not included in the assessable income of the super fund.
This resolution applies only to non-concessional contributions made by or on behalf of a member, where:
- the contribution is in cash (and not by transfer of property);
- the member has provided his or her tax file number;
- the member is an Australian resident at the time of making the contribution; and
- the contribution is made before the member attains age 75 or is made within 28 days of the end of the month in which the member attains age 75.
This resolution is not suitable if any of the requirements listed in 1(a)-(d) are not satisfied.
This resolution is also not suitable for concessional contributions, downsizer contributions, rollovers, transfers or contributions made from personal injury settlements or CGT small business proceeds.
This resolution can be used by both corporate and individual trustees.
All trustees/directors must sign the resolution.
After the resolution is signed the resolution must be kept as part of the fund’s records.
