Super Supremo Sherry forms Super Kitchen cabinet

Senator Sherry recently released details of the new top level super advisory committee.  This committee – which is proposed to meet 3 or 4 times a year – will act as a sounding board for the Government on super matters.

The committee includes representatives from the Financial Planning Association, the Investment and Financial Services Association, the Institute of Actuaries, the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia, as well as academics and representatives from large industry and occupational funds.  The Committee also has a representative from the SMSF sector.  There is no representative from the legal sector on the committee – which may be a good thing!!
