Increase in the concessional contributions cap

•    An increase in the concessional contributions cap to $35,000 (up from $25,000)

•    This change applies from 1 July 2013 for super investors aged 60 or more

•    This change applies from 1 July 2014 for super investors aged 50 or more

•    The Government expects the $35,000 cap to apply to all super investors by 1 July 2018

•    To put this change into perspective – every super investor previously had a concessional contribution cap of $50,000  -  some (older) super investors had higher caps!
