SUPERCentral will also feature linked member access through the SUPERCentral website to several SMSF messaging providers shortly.
How much will it cost to be registered?
The messaging service provides are permitted to and will most likely charge a fee for provision of their services. Typically, there will be an annual fee. One such provider is currently charging $50 per service year (with a special introductory fee of $25 for the first year’s registration).
Other providers may provide the service as a free service for their existing clients.
Is there only one registration required?
Yes, as it is the fund which is registered rather than the members of the fund.
Are there any downsides to registration?
Yes. Two immediately come to mind. Trustees will have to have an email address (to register and also to receive the payment information) and password. Secondly, there may be another task to perform if there is a change of trustee – updating the messaging service registration details.
