ATO Will Be Phoning If SMSF Returns Are Overdue

The ATO will be phoning self managed superannuation funds that were registered in the 2007/08 tax year and that have not yet lodged their 2008 annual returns.

The due date for lodging SMSF returns for the 2007/08 tax year is 28 February 2009 for funds which were registered during 2007/08 tax years.
