ATO's Ruminations on Superannuation Contributions Released

The ATO has released in draft its ruminations on superannuation contributions by way of a draft Taxation Ruling – TR 2009/D3.

The ruling will be finalised once public comments have been considered by the ATO.

The draft ruling represents the ATO’s preliminary but considered views on superannuation contributions.   Also, it should be noted that the draft ruling deals with the taxation issues relating to superannuation contributions and not the SIS Act issues relating to contributions.
