Annual non-concessional contributions cap

This cap will now be $100,000.  CGT non-concessional contributions and personal injury non-concessional contributions will not be subject to this cap and they remain unaffected by the Budget proposals.  The new cap will apply from 1 July 2017.

Comment:  This is a material reduction in the non-concessional contribution cap.  This change almost halves the current non-concessional contribution cap to $100,000 per financial year.
